In sleep time, 4+4 does not equal 8. It feels more like 5.5.

Isn't that the truth? When I had my second, I was in the throes of the end of a project at work for the first 6 months of his life. I was really critical to the project at that point, and I wanted to let people know when I was not at my best so that they wouldn't go away angry if I was short with them or whatever.
So I created the Sleep Index. It was a number based on the number of times I had been woken, and for how long I was up at each time. Numbers typically ranged from 70 (mild) to 120 (very very hot).
